Overview
The minimum requirements specified in this standard apply to power generators that are permanently installed in firefighting vehicles and - are suitable for the generation of single-phase and three-phase alternating current; - whose output does not exceed 12 kVA; - whose frequency and voltage are automatically regulated. This standard applies together with DIN VDE 0100-717 (VDE 0100-717) for the installation of low-voltage systems in firefighting vehicles. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-06-01 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical resources") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW) and contains the extension of the current DIN 14687-1 to include the 400 V supply level.
