DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection

Overview

The standard specifies general requirements for switch cabinets for fixed 3 phase generators with an output of ≥ 12 kVA in fire-brigade vehicles in accordance with the EN 1846 standard series and DIN 14555-3. The Form AA and Form BB switch cabinets are devices for connecting electrical consumers with voltages up to a maximum of 400 V (three-phase current) and contain all the necessary protective devices. In addition, this standard also defines the minimum necessary control and display elements. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-02-02 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW) and contains the Amendment A1 including the deletion of the protective conductor test device previously required by the standard.
