DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection

Overview

Branchpipe holders serve to divert the back force of the water jet from B-jet pipes via the hose line to the ground. The standard specifies the dimensions, requirements, testing, designation and marking of branchpipe holders. Compared to the previous edition of DIN 14368 in September 1985, the type and control tests by an official test facility are no longer applicable and the marking has been revised. The committee responsible for this standard is DIN committee NA 031-04-04 AA "Schläuche und Armaturen - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 1 und WG 8" ("Hoses and armatures - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 1 and WG 8") at the DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
