Overview
The particular requirements of this clause of the standards of the series DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) shall be applied for the selection and erection of extra-low voltage lighting installations supplied by a power source with a maximum rated voltage of AC 50 V or DC 120 V. The following significant modifications have been made with regard to DIN VDE 0100-715 (VDE 0100-715):2006-06: a) extensive, primarily editorial clarifications in the entire standard text; b) introduction of references to LED modules and their particular installation requirements; c) 715.524 "Conductor cross sections"; d) statement on voltage drop in 715.525; e) supplementation of Annex A with country-specific notes; f) adjustment of the formal structure/numbering of clauses to the currently valid Parts 100 to 600 of the standards of the series DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100).
