Fire-fighting equipment for fire-fighting and rescue service vehicles - Part 14: Consumption material chest
Feuerwehrtechnische Ausrüstung für Feuerwehrfahrzeuge - Teil 14: Verbrauchsmaterialkasten
Overview
The document contains the composition of a consumption material chest for use in fire fighting operations which is carried along as fire-fighting equipment on fire-fighting vehicles. In the first edition of this standard of February 2005, the content of the consumption material chest has been adopted from the standard for the emergency tender RW according to DIN 14555-3. Regarding the equipment, standardized tools have been chosen and regarding cable ties, commercial packaging units have been chosen where possible. The standard points out that, in case of possible spatial and dimensional reserves, the loading of the boxes may be supplemented as desired. The following reason is given for the modification of the previous edition DIN 14800-14 of February 2005: - since these boxes are not produced from wood, the wooden design version has been deleted; - the dividers are specified in the relevant individual standards for fire equipment boxes; - in the future, a permanently installed divider for most fire equipment boxes will be possible in addition to a variable divider. This standard edition represents a consolidated version of the standard into which the following significant modifications of DIN 14800-14:2005-02 have been incorporated: - the wooden design has been deleted; - the requirements for dividers in 6.1 have been revised; - marking has been revised; - information on the coating has been deleted. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 031-04-09 AA "Sonstige Ausrüstung - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 5" ("Other equipment - mirror committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 5") at DIN.
