Gas extinguishing systems and their components - mirror committee of CEN/TC 191/WG 6
NA 031-03-04 AA is responsible for the development of standards for the design and testing of fire extinguishing systems with gaseous extinguishing agents and their components. The committee's work focuses on monitoring the European standards of the EN 12094 series "Fixed firefighting systems - Components for gas extinguishing systems", EN 17446 "Fire extinguishing systems in commercial kitchens - Design and test requirements" and the EN 15004 series "Fixed firefighting systems - Gas extinguishing systems", the latter being a modified adoption of the international standards of the ISO 14520 series "Gaseous fire-extinguishing systems - Physical properties and system design". The Committee therefore mirrors the European Working Group WG 6 "Gas extinguishing Systems and components" of CEN/TC 191 "Fixed firefighting systems" and the work of ISO/TC 21/SC 8 "Gaseous media and firefighting systems using gas". The secretariat of CEN/TC 191/WG 6 is held by DIN.
