Fasteners with metric external thread
This committee develops standards regarding technical specifications for bolts, screws, studs and set screws made of alloy and non-alloy steels. The mechanical characteristics of these fasteners are specified. Furthermore, the test procedures are specified, with the help of which the monitoring can be assured and the compliance with these characteristics can be ascertained. In addition, the committee develops product standards for screws with internal and external driving feature, studs, set screws and screw and washer assemblies as well as standards with specific requirements for various types of driving features.
