Air regulation systems for mining - Belt-conveyors-way air locks - Dimensions, identifications, requirements and testing
Wetterbauwerke für den Bergbau - Gurtfördererschleusen - Maße, Bezeichnungen, Anforderungen und Prüfung
Overview
Mine workers in mines have to be supplied with fresh air. The air flows are guided and controlled by means of air regulation systems. Air doors are openings in these structures that are used for the passage of people (travel way) or for production (haulage tracks). This standard specifies the requirements for belt-conveyors-way airlocks. They are used for the passage of belt conveyors with shoring in underground coal mines and are installed in the air shutter frames of airlocks. Depending on the pressure drop and dust generation, belt-conveyors-way airlocks may be used without a lid strip (Form A) or with a lid strip (Form B). The national interests in the preparation of the standard have been represented by the committee NA 060-15-06 AA "Bewetterungsanlagen" ("Mine ventilation systems") at the Section Mining equipment of DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM). Representatives of the manufacturers and users of mine ventilation systems and of the employers' liability insurance associations were involved in the preparation.
