Underground mine railways - Clamping plates for securing rails onto steel supports
Grubenbahnen - Klemmplatten für die Befestigung von Schienen auf Stahlunterlagen
Overview
In particular in underground hard coal mining with its difficult and often changing operating conditions, track conveyance offers various advantages. In addition to the usability in the case of a low load-bearing capacity of the subsoil, the easy expansion and adaptability of the systems is of importance. The flexible design of the rolling stock results in comparatively few restrictions regarding the transportable material to be conveyed. This standard specifies the dimensions and materials of clamping plates and bore dimensions for steel supports. The system is used for the limited flexible fastening of rail profiles on steel sleepers. A key feature of these clamping plates is a pin, which is used to provide additional locking. The standard has been prepared by NA 008-05-01 "Grubenbahnen" ("Mine railways") of the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG) at DIN.
