Overview
Standard DIN 86210-1 specifies the geometry of hose fittings on watercraft for ship- and onshore/barge-side supply with heavy fuel oil, diesel oil, lubricating oil, fresh water as well as for disposal of fluid fuel sludge and/or waste water and waste oil. The standardized hose fittings as well as the associated hose assemblies and hoses shall comply with the expected mechanical, thermal (-20 °C to +65 °C) and chemical stresses and be resistant to flammable and non-flammable water-polluting fluids and their vapours, with the exception of liquid gas and vapour. The hose fittings for the used hose assemblies and pipes shall be mounted such that the electrostatic charges are safely discharged. The requirements stipulate permitted working pressures and temperatures as well as media resistance of hose fitting materials. The use of dry disconnect couplings as well as the full flow coupling is also described. The ship-/onshore-/barge-side connection principles are documented in the illustrations. Annex A (normative) describes the testing, maintenance and repair of the coupling systems for both the supply ship and the receiving ship. Tests are visual, pressure, electrical and quality tests. Defined periods are specified for maintenance and repair. When new, only the leakage rate A or B may be used for the couplings DIN EN 12226-1. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-02-07 AA "Betankungs- und Pipelineschläuche" ("Tubes for refuelling and pipelines").
