Overview
Guard rails according to this standard are used on railing openings on ships of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy). They secure these openings in railings against falling. These openings are intended in the area of ladders and rungs. The guard rails are foldable, when required. The designs and the materials to be used are specified in this standard in order to ensure interchangeability.
