Overview
The Amendment A12:2016 incorporated into European Standard EN 60335-2-37:2002 + A1:2008 + A11:2012 deletes Subclause 5.5 of Clause 5 "General test conditions" because the text is identical to the text in 3.1.9. This Amendment changes Clause 2 and Subclause 22.106 and 22.ZE.103 in Annex ZE "Particular additional requirements for appliances and machines for commercial use with motor-driven moving parts" of EN 60335-2-37:2002/A11:2012. This standard covers the safety of electrically operated commercial deep fat fryers, including those operating under pressure. The devices are not intended for household use, their rated voltage is no more than 250 volts for single-phase devices, operated between a phase conductor and the neutral conductor, and 480 volts for other devices. These appliances are used in restaurants, canteens, hospitals and in commercial enterprises, such as bakeries and butchers. The responsible committee is UK 511.8 "Großküchengeräte" ("Equipment for commercial kitchens") at the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
