Overview
The supplementary requirements apply to fuse-links for application in equipment containing semiconductor devices for circuits of nominal voltages up to 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c. and also, in so far as they are applicable, for circuits of higher nominal voltages. Compared to the previous standard, editorial and technical adjustments have been made to the voltage source inverter fuse-links, including the test requirements. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 541.1 "Sicherungen und Schalter-Sicherungseinheiten" ("Fuses and fuse-combination units") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
