Overview
This part of IEC 61754 specifies the standard dimensions of the connector interfaces for the N-FO connector family with two and four fibers. The standard contains dimensions and tolerances for this connector family and specifies the mechanical interoperability. The standard therefore offers investment security for manufacturers and users and provides test laboratories and manufacturers with defined specifications for the design and interfaces. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 412.7 "LWL-Verbindungstechnik und passive optische Komponenten" ("Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive optical components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
