Niederspannungsschaltgeräte - Teil 1: Allgemeine Festlegungen (IEC 60947-1:2007 + A1:2010 + A2:2014); Deutsche Fassung EN 60947-1:2007 + A1:2011 + A2:2014, Berichtigung zu DIN EN 60947-1 (VDE 0660-100):2015-09

Overview

This standard applies to industrial low-voltage switchgear and controlgear for use in circuits up to 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC. The purpose of this standard is to define the general rules and requirements for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear. This standard, a second amendment to the fifth edition of IEC 60947-1, contains several amendments to different parts of the standard. The main changes concern: - the addition of methods for determining data for electromechanical contactors in functional safety applications; - environmentally conscious design; - harmonization of insulation parts; - energy management of switchgear for electrical energy efficiency; - the method for making a material declaration. With this Corrigendum the correct terms "insulation coordination with barrier" and "air gaps" are inserted in the corresponding positions in the standard. The responsible committee isDKE/K 431 "Niederspannungsschaltgeräte und -kombinationen" ("Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
