Title (German)

Leittechnik für industrielle Prozesse - Ermittlung der Systemeigenschaften zum Zweck der Eignungsbeurteilung eines Systems - Teil 7: Eignungsbeurteilung der Sicherheit eines Systems (IEC 61069-7:2016); Deutsche Fassung EN 61069-7:2016

Overview

This part of IEC 61069 deals with the procedure that should be used to assess the suitability of the safety of industrial process control systems. The treatment of safety in this standard is confined to hazards that can be present within the industrial process control system itself. If the system mission includes activities which could affect the safety of the process or equipment under control, the requirements of these activities are the subject of IEC 61508. The suitability assessment of a system is an assessment based on verification of whether a system is suitable for a specific task or class of tasks.
