Overview
This Amendment to DIN EN 55020 (VDE 0872-20):2007-09 and DIN EN 55020/A11 (VDE 0872-20/A1):2012-06 replaces Table 15 containing immunity requirements for sound and television broadcast receivers and related consumer electronics equipment with a new table that has been expanded from the table contained in the 2007-09 edition to include additional requirements for immunity to radio frequency electromagnetic fields of equipment suitable for DVB-C, DVB-T, or DVB-S reception. Furthermore, the reference to EN 55020:2007/A11:2011 is deleted from the bibliography so that the European Standard does not refer to itself, and the information that the standard serves to implement essential requirements contained in Article 3.1(b) (immunity only) of EC Directive 1999/5/EC is removed from Annex ZZ. DIN EN 55020 (VDE 0872-20) contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55020, which adopts the International Standard CISPR 20 with modifications. It specifies requirements for the immunity of sound and television broadcast receivers and related consumer electronics equipment. For this purpose, it specifies the corresponding test levels, test procedures, test set-up and assessment criteria for the operating behavior. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.17 "EMV von Multimediageräten und -einrichtungen" ("EMC of multimedia equipment ") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
