Kurzschlussströme in Drehstromnetzen - Teil 0: Berechnung der Ströme (IEC 60909-0:2016); Deutsche Fassung EN 60909-0:2016
Overview
DIN EN 60909-0 (VDE 0102) is applicable to the calculation of short-circuit currents in low-voltage three-phase AC systems, and in high-voltage three-phase AC systems, operating at a nominal frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Systems with highest voltages of 550 kV and above with long transmission lines require special considerations. This part of the DIN EN 60909 (VDE 0102) series specifies a general, practicable and concise procedure leading to results which are generally of acceptable accuracy. For this purpose, an equivalent voltage source is introduced at the short-circuit point. However, this does not preclude the use of special calculation methods, for example the superposition method, which are adapted to special conditions if they have at least the same accuracy. The superposition method provides the short circuit current depending on a given load flow. Therefore, this method does not necessarily result in the highest short-circuit current. DIN EN 60909-0 (VDE 0102) deals with the calculation of short-circuit currents for symmetrical and asymmetrical short-circuits. The standard differs from DIN EN 60609-0 (VDE 0102):2002-07 as follows: a) contribution of windpower station units to the short-circuit current; b) contribution of power station units with full size converters to the short-circuit current; c) new document structure. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 121.1 "Kurzschluss-Strom-Berechnung" ("Short-circuit current calculations") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
