Industrial-process measurement and control - Data structures and elements in process equipment catalogues - Part 13: Lists of properties (LOP) for Pressure Measuring Equipment for electronic data exchange (IEC 61987-13:2016); German version EN 61987-13:2016
Industrielle Leittechnik - Datenstrukturen und -elemente in Katalogen der Prozessleittechnik - Teil 13: Merkmalleisten (ML) für Druckmessgeräte für den elektronischen Datenaustausch (IEC 61987-13:2016); Deutsche Fassung EN 61987-13:2016
Overview
Prior to this standard the requirements for process control equipment and systems has been specified by the customer in a variety of ways when suppliers or manufacturers were asked for information on the suitability of equipment. Suppliers, in turn, described equipment using their own documentation schemes, often using different terms, structures, and media (paper, databases, CDs, electronic catalog, and so on). The situation was similar in planning or development processes, where device information was often duplicated in a number of different information technology (IT) systems. This standard contains an operating list of properties (OLOP) for describing the operational parameters and summarizing the requirements for a pressure measuring device, and a device list of properties (DLOP) for describing different types of pressure measuring devices. The structures of the operating and device list of properties correspond to the general structures defined in IEC 61987-11 and are consistent with the principles for the structure of lists of properties defined in IEC 61987-10. Aspects deviating from the OLOP that are required for the various electronic data interchange processes described in Part 10 are published in IEC 61987. Libraries of properties and blocks used in the relevant LOP are listed in Annexes C and D. The responsible committee is DKE/K 931 "Systemaspekte" ("System aspects") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
