Overview
The DIN EN 61800-7 series describes profiles for power drive systems (PDS) and their mapping to existing communication systems by use of a generic interface model. This part of the international standards series specifies the mapping of the profile type 4 (SERCOS) specified in IEC 61800-7-204 onto different network technologies. The functions specified in this part of IEC 61800-7 are not intended to ensure functional safety. The responsible committee is K 226 "Ausrüstung von Starkstromgeräten und -anlagen mit elektronischen Betriebsmitteln" ("High voltage current equipment and systems with electronic equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
