Overview
This standard contains terms from the field of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission. They are divided into the sections: Terms for converter circuits; Converter groups and valves; Operating conditions for converters; HVDC systems and HVDC stations; HVDC station equipment; Control; Control systems; Control functions. In this standard, terms have been revised and supplemented, and new terms have been added. The committee responsible is DKE/K 331 "Leistungselektronik" ("Power electronics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
