Overview
The international committee IEC/TC 62 has decided to edit all collateral standards in such a way that later additions or amendments to the main standard IEC 60601-1 can be presented in a simplified way. Therefore, a predominantly editorial revision of IEC 60601-1-10 was undertaken. The first edition of IEC 60601-1-10 was published in 2007. This supplement adjusts the references from IEC 60601-1:2005 including Supplement 1:2012, from IEC 60601-1-6:2006 to IEC 60601-1-6 including Supplement 1:2012, and from IEC 60601-1-8:2006 including Supplement 1:2012. The responsible committee is DKE/K 811 "Allgemeine Bestimmungen für elektrische Einrichtungen in medizinischer Anwendung" ("Common aspects of electrical equipment used in medical practice") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
