Overview
The detail specification describes directly heated positive step-function temperature coefficients for assessment level EZ applications as sensors in controller units for rotating electrical machines. The thermistors are constructed of modified ferroelectric ceramic, with wire termination and basic insulation. This detail specification describes assembly, dimensions, sheathing, connections, flammability, packaging, marking and ordering information in detail. The electrical specifications contain the rated values and characteristic values. The test requirements contain information on the qualification approval procedures according to 6.5 of the generic specification IEC 60738-1. The test plans for quality conformity testing contain information on sample size, periodicity, severity levels and requirements. Information on the formation of inspection lots is given in 6.5.7 of the generic specification IEC 60738-1. The responsible committee is DKE/K 614 "Temperatur- und spannungsabhängige Widerstände" ("Temperature- and voltage-dependent resistors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
