Overview
This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55014-2:2015 and is identical to the International Standard CISPR 14-2:2015. It applies to the immunity of household appliances, electric tools and similar apparatus, including electrical toys. It covers requirements for immunity in the frequency range 0 kHz to 400 GHz. For this purpose, the appliances falling within the scope of this standard are divided into four categories, whereby it depends on the classification whether or to what extent immunity tests shall be carried out. The corresponding test disturbance variables, performance criteria for the operational behaviour, the applicability of the tests, the operating conditions during the tests and the determination of conformity with this standard are specified in this standard. The newly created Annex A also contains guidelines for the selection of degradation of performance which can be regarded permissible. Compared to the previous edition, the normative references have also been updated and various individual changes have been made. The comment on Table 2 (testing of immunity to static electricity discharges) has been deleted. It was also included that improper use of the appliances (for example faults in electrical circuits simulated for testing purposes) is not taken into account and that the effects of electromagnetic phenomena related to the safety of appliances are excluded and are covered by other standards, for example the IEC 60335 series. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.11 "EMV von Betriebsmitteln und Anlagen für häusliche, gewerbliche, industrielle, wissenschaftliche und medizinische Anwendungen, die beabsichtigt oder unbeabsichtigt HF erzeugen sowie von Beleuchtungseinrichtungen" ("EMC of equipment and installations for domestic, commercial, industrial, scientific and medical applications generating HF either intentionally or intentionally as well as lighting equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
