Overview
This standard is a generic standard for vented nickel-cadmium storage batteries which are used in the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). The standard contains the basic technical requirements for vented nickel-cadmium storage batteries such as test schedules for type testing, quality assurance and storage life. It also includes the basic requirements for marking and packaging as well as safety remarks. Transition period: VG 95238-2:2007-11 continues to apply to the detail standards of the VG 95238 series, the date of issue of which is before the date of issue of this standard, until these have been converted to the present edition. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 140-00-03 AA "Batterien" ("Batteries") of the DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE).
