Overview
Part 2-3 of the IEC 60721-2-3 series provides a selection of different values of air pressure appearing in nature. It is intended to be used as part of the background material when selecting appropriate severities of air pressure for product applications, which products are liable to be exposed during storage, transportation and use. Significant changes are - the deletion of pictures regarding decrease the cooling capacity with height; - an additional equation for the calculation of air pressure and altitude and - the simplification of Table 1. The responsible committee is DKE/K 131 "Umgebungsbedingungen, Klassifizierung und Prüfungen" ("Environmental conditions, classification and methods of test") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
