Overview
The standard defines now that the maximum performance shall be indicated in the near of lamp holders. The conditions for the mounting instructions for downdraft-systems has been expanded. The risk of entrapment and injury for exhaust systems which move automatically has been taken into account with new tests in Clause 20. The content of 20.101 has not been modified compared to the draft, but the test conditions have been restructured so that the text is now easier to read. The new Subclause 20.103 deals with the fixing of the range hoods. Here the risk that fixing screws might make contact with live parts is in particular taken into account. The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 511.10 "Kleingeräte" ("Small appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
