Overview
This standard is Part 1 of the IEC 62707 standard series. It specifies general requirements and a grid with relevant coding for the colour binning of white LEDs emitting incoherent visible radiation. This part is to be applied to LED packages. Other parts of this standard are in preparation or planning which take into consideration the colour coordinates of coloured LEDs, the luminous intensity, the colour rendering and the forward voltage. This standard is not to be applied to LED modules, LED lamps and LED lights. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 521.1 "Elektrische Lampen" ("Electrical lamps") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
