Overview
This standard applies to delivery drums with diameters from 710 mm up to 2 800 mm for the delivery and transport of cables and stranded conductors. Depending on the field of application, the drums can consist of wood, plastics or steel and are intended for multiple-use applications, also under site conditions. The responsible German body is DKE/K 414 "Hilfsmittel für Fertigung und Transport von Kabeln, Leitungen und Drähten" ("Tools for fabrication and transport of cables and wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
