Safety in electroheating installations - Part 10: Particular requirements for electrical resistance trace heating systems for industrial and commercial applications (IEC 60519-10:2013); German version EN 60519-10:2013
Sicherheit in Elektrowärmeanlagen - Teil 10: Besondere Anforderungen an elektrische Widerstands-Begleitheizungen für industrielle und gewerbliche Zwecke (IEC 60519-10:2013); Deutsche Fassung EN 60519-10:2013
Overview
The purpose of this standard is to ensure that electrical trace heating systems (electrical resistance trace heating systems) operate safely under their normal defined conditions of use; it contains general safety requirements for the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of such systems and individual electric circuits as well as for the design of trace heating systems. These safety issues refer to the protection of persons and the environment against hazards caused by electricity and also against hazards of non-electrical origin, applicable to all types of devices and installations. The responsible committee is DKE/K 362 "Industrielle Elektrowärme" ("Industrial electroheat") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
