Overview
This standard contains the text of CENELEC Amendment A12:2012-11 to EN 60335-2-5:2003. The amendment supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of EN 60335-1:2012 and EN 60335-2-5:2003 + A1:2005 + A2:2008 + A11:2009 regarding "persons requiring protection" and children as well as the temperature limits for touchable hot surfaces. This European Standard deals with the safety of electric dishwashers for household and similar purposes, that are intended for washing and rinsing dishes, cutlery and other utensils, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. Appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops and other premises for normal housekeeping purposes, are within the scope of this standard.
