Overview
This basic safety publication specifies terms and definitions for fire tests for electrotechnical products. and is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51. The terms and definitions that are not specifically electrotechnical are defined in ISO 13943 (DIN EN ISO 13943). The responsible committee is DKE/K 133 "Prüfverfahren zur Beurteilung der Brandgefahr von elektrotechnischen Produkten und Isolierstoffen" ("Test methods for assessing the fire hazard of electrotechnical products and insulating materials") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
