Overview

This family specification for optical telecommunication cables to be used in ducts and direct buried applications as well as lashed aerial applications contains requirements for optical fibre cables and cable constructions as well as test methods. This corrigendum replaces the term "striking surface diameter" by "striking surface radius" in the test conditions for impact testing in 4.4.2.3b). The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 412.6 "Lichtwellenleiter und Lichtwellenleiterkabel" ("Fibres and cables") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
