DKE German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE

Overview

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 61000-6-3:2007+A1:2010 which adopts the International Standard IEC 61000-6-3:2006 and its Amendment 1:2010. It contains emission requirements in the frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz of electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in residential, commercial and light-industrial environments unless there are specific product or product family standards on emission for this apparatus. It specifies, with regard to ports, the corresponding emission limit values and - by reference to the standards used as basic standards - the associated measurement methods. The specifications apply for the enclosure port, AC network ports as well as telecommunications or network ports of the apparatus to be tested as far the corresponding port is available. With respect to the previous standard, the normative references have been supplemented and updated accordingly. Furthermore, the requirements with regard to ports have been split up into separate tables and limits for the disturbance field strength emitted via the enclosure in the frequency range 1 GHz to 6 GHz were supplemented in Table 1. Furthermore, requirements based on the measurement in other measurement equipment which is applicable in a parallel manner have been introduced. These are measurements in TEM waveguides based on the method described in IEC 61000-4-20 and measurements in fully anechoic rooms (FARs) based on specifications made in the CISPR 16 series for the measurement equipment and the measurement method. For this purpose, clause 10 was also added, which contains specifications regarding the procedure if a choice of measurement methods is offered to determine if a sample meets a certain requirement or how to proceed during periodic inspections. Moreover, the specifications for handling uncertainty of measurement equipment have been changed. The responsible Committee is AK 767.0.5 "Grenzwerte zum Schutz von Funkdiensten" ("Limit values for radiocommunication service") under K 767 "Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV)" ("Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
