Overview
The amendment applies mainly to a.c. circuit-breakers within the scope of IEC 62271-100. It contains general rules for testing a.c. circuit-breakers, for making and braking capacities over the range of test duties described in 6.102 to 6.111 of IEC 62271-100, by synthetic methods. The amendment has become necessary by the decision to take into account IEC 61633 in IEC 62271-100 and IEC 62271-101. The amendment consists mainly of the incorporation of informative Annex N "Typical test circuits for metal-enclosed and dead tank circuit breakers" into the existing standard. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 432.1 "Hochspannungs-Schaltgeräte" ("High-voltage switchgear") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
