Overview
This part of EN 50397 gives general recommendations for selection, storage, transport and mounting of covered conductors and the related accessories described in the parts 1 and 2 of this standard, unless otherwise specified. The safety and environmental rules and the rules for installation and mechanical design are not taken into account in this recommendation for use; they are covered by relevant national provisions and laws, but must be always followed, where necessary. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 411.1 "Starkstromkabel" ("Power cables") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
