Overview
This International Standard specifies requirements for a digital interface for loudspeakers based on the IEC 60958 standard series and the MIDI standard. Through the combination of both of the separate standards, the flexibility and the applicability increase. When put together, both standards make a simple and flexible digital interface for loudspeakers possible. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 742.5 "Lautsprecher" ("Loudspeakers") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
