Overview
This International Standard specifies the method for the transmission of non-linear PCM bitstreams encoded in the DRA format via a digital audio interface in accordance with IEC 60958. The individual characteristics of the audio data blocks, for example, reference point, repetition interval, method for filling the gaps in the data stream and the decoding latency are given for data type DRA. The responsible Committee is K 742 "Audio-, Video- und Multimediasysteme, -geräte und -komponenten" ("Audio, video and multimedia systems, equipment and components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
