Overview

This part of the CLC 50377 is a product standard and describes the type LSH connector family. This standard contains the initial, start of life dimensional, optical, mechanical and environmental performance requirements of the mentioned connector family and specifies the mechanical interoperability of identical connectors, couplings and sockets. Thus, the standard provides manufacturers and users with investment security and test laboratories and manufacturers with defined information on testing. The standard series is applied together with the DIN EN 61755 (Optical interface) standard series and is supplemented by the DIN EN 61300 (Basic test and measurement procedures) standard series. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 412.7 "LWL-Verbindungstechnik und passive optische Komponenten" ("Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive optical components") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
