Overview
The DIN EN 50491-5 standard series is intended to ensure a common level of EMC requirements for HBES/BACS devices. Part 3 of the DIN EN 50491-5 standard series is intended for HBES/BACS used in industry environment. It covers the EMC requirements for any combination of HBES and/or BACS products including their separate connected/detachable devices linked together via one or more networks, according to the specifications of EN 61000-6-2. The standard shall be applied to: operator stations and other human-system interface devices; devices for management functions; control devices, automation stations and application-specific controllers; field devices and their interfaces; cabling and interconnection devices; engineering and commissioning tools. The responsible Committee is K 716 "Elektrische Systemtechnik für Heim und Gebäude (ESHG)" ("Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
