Overview
This standard specifies methods for conformance testing of home cabling. These conformance tests include visual inspection, verification testing and either qualification testing or certification testing. Documentation for the test results is also specified. The responsible Committee is K 412 "Kommunikationskabel (Kabel, Leitungen, Wellenleiter, Lichtwellenleiter, Komponenten, Zubehör und Anlagentechnik für die Nachrichten- und Informationsübertragung)" ("Communication cables (Cables, wires, waveguides, optical fibres, components, accessories and systems engineering for telecommunication and transmission of information)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
