Overview
This standard applies to all types of circular saws. Circular saws hereinafter will be referred to as saws. This standard does not apply to saws used with abrasive wheels. With respect to DIN EN 60745-2-5 (VDE 0740-2-5):2007-11 the following changes have been made: a) The standard has been adapted to the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. b) The Annexes ZZA and ZZB have been added by CENELEC. The responsible Committee is K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
