High-voltage alternating current circuit-breakers - Electrical endurance tests for circuit-breakers rated 72,5 kV and above (IEC 17A/573/CD:2000)
Abstract
The project is applicable to a.c. circuit-breakers designed for indoor or outdoor installation and for operation at frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz on systems having voltages above 1000 V. The project contains amendments to the subclauses related to "endurance" and to Annex A "Calculation of tran-sient recovery voltages for short-line faults from rated characteristics".
