Abstract
This standard applies to direct reading personal dose equivalent meters and monitoring devices which are worn on the trunk or the extremities of the body. It specifies requirements for the dosemeter and, if supplied, for its associated readout system. It specifies general characteristics, general test procedures, radiation characteristics as well as electrical, mechanical, safety and environmental characteristics. In addition, it defines classes of personal dose equivalent meters in relation to retention of stored information and specifies respective requirements.
