Lightning density based on lightning location systems - General principles
Abstract
This document presents all necessary measures and discusses how the values obtained from lightning locating systems (LLSs) in different countries can be made reliable and homogeneous in terms of the ground lightning density NG and the density of the NSG can be made reliable and homogeneous. Only parameters are taken into account, relevant for the risk assessment.
