Guidance for the development and implementation of Active Assisted Living (AAL) Systems and Services
Abstract
This document establishes criteria for developing and implementing AAL systems. AAL systems are developed based on the needs of the AAL user as specified in the use cases. Once developed AAL systems are evaluated to ensure that the individual parts as well as the complete system meet the applicable standards and regulations. IEC SRD 63219 provides guidance for AAL service providers to develop AAL systems. IEC SRD 63473 establishes criteria for mapping standards from use cases to AAL systems and components. This document establishes criteria for implementing the requirements of IEC SRD 63219 and IEC SRD 63473. This document also establishes conformity assessment criteria. This document is applicable to AAL Service providers, AAL Service organizations, and to 1st, 2nd or 3rd Conformity Assessment bodies.
