Abstract
This VDE guideline is part of a series of VDE guidelines for the further education and training of specialists in broadband expansion (fibre optics). This guideline specifies the technical requirements for specialists working in the field of fibre optic network planning and specifies the procedure for further and advanced training in nationwide Fttx expansion from the POP to the HÜP. This VDE guideline VDE 0800-250 describes the basics of fibre optic planning and the technical requirements for persons working in this area of fibre optic technology who carry out activities as part of their duties. The subsequent qualifications for infrastructure specialists in fibre optic technology are based on the VDE 0800-251, VDE 0800-252 and VDE 0800-253 guidelines.
