Surge arresters - Part 5: Selection and application recommendations
Abstract
Provides information, guidelines and recommendations for the selection and application of surge arresters used in three-phase systems with rated voltages above 1 kV. Edition 4of IEC 60099-5 revises, updates, and/or clarifies selection and application recommendations for surge arresters in conjunction with maintenance of Edition 4 of IEC 60099-4 and with development of Edition 1 of standard IEC/IEEE 60099-11 for transmission line protection.
