Direct current (DC) plugs, socket-outlets, ship connectors and ship inlets for low-voltage shore connection systems (LVSC)
Abstract
This document applies to direct current (DC) plugs, socket-outlets, ship connectors and ship inlets (hereinafter referred to as accessories) for low-voltage shore connection systems (LVSC). These accessories have a maximum rated operating voltage not exceeding 1500 V DC and a maximum rated current not exceeding 800 A. This document applies to accessories for primary use outdoors in inland river and/or seawater environment when the ambient temperature is normally within the range of −25 °C to +55 °C. Socket-outlets or ship inlets incorporated in or fixed to electrical equipment which is part of the shore connection system are within the scope of this document.
