Abstract
This part of IEC 63203 specifies terms and a measurement protocol to measure heart rate in wearables that have a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor. In addition, this document specifies a test to evaluate the accuracy of wearable devices with a PPG sensor. This measurement protocol is not intended to evaluate medical devices associated with IEC 60601 or IEC/ISO 80601 series.
